Study Notes on ENG 308: The Principles of Learning English as a Second Language
ENG 308: The Principles of Learning English as a Second Language is mainly concerned with the principles of second language learning. It takes a look at child-learners and adult learners of English as a second language. It also discusses individual differences in second language learning (general learning ability, phonetic coding ability, grammatical sensitivity, inductive learning ability, and associate memory), grammatical competence and communicative competence in second language learners. The learner’s inter-language and its description shall also be discussed.
