It is typical of a shy person to take sly or derogatory comments personally because they do not know how to handle things like this.
Your friends can be a thorn in the flesh sometimes and make silly but playful comments about your shyness. You should understand that that is their way of having fun and most times, they mean no harm.
When they make jokes and comments like this, you should join in the laughter and playfulness, that way, you’re subtly sending a message that you are not affected by their shenanigans
