ASUU Advise Members To Find Another Way To Make Money: End To Strike Is FAR
The Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) has advised all her members to find other legitimate ways to make money, with the adage man must survive
The Federal Government are not showing seriousness on ending the ongoing strike, so the end to the strike is still far
The Advise is coming from ASUU Abuja zone (Nigeria) during they press briefing on the just concluded negotiation meeting between Federal Government and ASUU, lamenting that Government has not paid lecturer salary since February 2020

They also use the opportunity to inform the Nigeria public in general. To all university lecturers, and more importantly to Nigeria students, National Association Of Nigeria Students (NANS), and Parents to know that the ongoing strike is not coming to an end any time soon
ASUU’s Argument
They argued that the Federal Government is not showing concerns toward their salary with zero seriousness, so for that, the Union, ASUU is not ready any time soon to call off the strike advises all members to look for lawful other ways to make money and take care of themselves and their family
The Fall Out Between ASUU and Federal Government
The latest fall out between ASUU and the Federal government occurred yesterday 17th Government 2020 when the federal Government mocked ASUU for not having a hardware should UTAS software is approved
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, On Tuesday, argued that the integrity test being conducted on the software of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution being proposed by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities would take between six to eight weeks to be completed and moreover ASUU does not have the hardware to run the software
Why Are ASUU On Strike
It will interest you to know that ASUU is currently on strike in protest against the Federal Government’s Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System brought by the government while the Union (ASUU) proposed University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) as an alternative, so both parties have not been able to come term

Chris Ngegi yesterday while speaking with State House correspondents after a meeting he had with the Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja said the Nigeria Information Technology Development Agency was conducting the integrity test on the software and this will take months

The Minister argued even if the said software is to be available today, there was no hardware to back it up, Do ASUU have the hardware to use it. He joking ask members? Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU)
He proceeds with more claimed that even if the software passed the integrity test being conducted by NITDA, the University teachers do not have the needed fund to procure the necessary hardware for its implementation and the Federal Government does not have such fund in they budget, so is best for ASUU to call off the strike as we have met 6 point of the demand
These is almost the 7th month of strike with no salary payment since February 2020 in a country Africa Nigeria where none of the present and past president, head of state, governors, senators house of rep member, and many other children belonging to the ruling class don’t attend the government schools and privately own schools in Nigeria
In one way or the other, the government people present and past strive by looting the nation Nigeria with billions of Naira and Millions of United State Of America Dollars stack all over in the world for them them and their family, while their send their children to school ex where in the world
At the detriment of the poor masses and they children who attend the government own schools and have been on strike for months Now.
