Blessing Okagbare suspended from Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games After Failing Anti Dope Test
The Tokyo 2020 Olympics games may go in records as the worst Olympics tournament for the team Nigeria, as Blessing Okagbare fails Anti Dope test and was suspended from competing in the ongoing Tokyo Olympic Game

Blessing Okagbare has early been flying the Nigeria flag so high, higher than his peer team Nigeria as she was supposed to compete in the featured semi-final of the women’s 100m but failed the anti dope test and got suspended
The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), has provisional suspended Nigeria athlete, Blessing Okagbare after she tested positive for Human Growth Hormone
Human Growth Hormone is a prescription medication that can decrease body fat and increase lean muscle mass, and improve exercise capacity and energy, HGH use without a prescription is illegal in the USA.
A statement, released by AIU: said
“Growth Hormone is a non-specified substance on the 2021 World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List and a provisional suspension is mandatory following an adverse analytical finding for such substance under the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules
The AIU collected the sample from Ms. Okagbare during an out-of-competition test on 19 July. The WADA-accredited laboratory that analyzed the sample notified the AIU of the adverse analytical finding at mid-day Central European Time yesterday being Friday 30th day of July 2021.
The athlete was notified of the adverse analytical finding and her provisional suspension early this morning 31, July 2021 in Tokyo.
She was scheduled to participate in the semi-finals of the women’s 100m this evening but will now be absent
While Afrinotes was trying to get more findings from the AIU official’s social handler, the unit has made it clear to media houses that they will make no further comment on this matter at this time
The 32-year-old medalist’s, participation was brought to an abrupt end this Saturday morning following the result of the test and she was to compete in the 200m as well as the 4X100m relay.
Indeed this is a big blow to Nigeria after ten of her athletes were disqualified for failing to meet the minimum eligibility test requirement days ago in the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo.
