Goodluck Jonathan Decamping Rumour, PDP Team leaders Pays Him A Visit
Formal President Goodluck Jonathan decamping rumour has been trending for months now, it became more appealing now that he is planning on leaving People’s Democratic Party ”PDP” for APC any time soon
A development that has forced some members of the People’s Democratic Party, the PDP which include the party’s Acting National Chairman, Yemi Akinwonmi, Daisi Akintan, former caretaker secretary of the PDP in the South-West and the secretary of ex-officio forum and a member of the National Executive Committee, Mrs. Helen Taiwo to visit the former president in his Abuja, Nigeria residence on Tuesday, 31th August 2021
According to Punch newspaper, the meeting between the former president and the three-member team was held off-camera, and that the meeting was held to get him acquainted with the happenings in the party and to also seek a solution for the crisis happening in their midst
Also “The South West PDP team appeal to the former President not to abandon the party, assurance that PDP is building up, and will be as strong but stronger than how it was back in the days when PDP Lead government wherein power
“They also appealed to him to show more than a passing interest in the affairs of the party by becoming more actively involved in the activities of the party
To them the part made him, his involvement in the party matters are more needed now than ever, as most members will be more attending to his guidelines, opinion on how the PDP party affairs should be run
