Nigeria AfroBEAT Legend FELA KUTI Excluded from Induction into Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

Nigerians on social media and all over the nation have expressed their dissatisfaction over the exclusion of Nigeria music legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame despite having over 545, 000 votes. This is the second-largest vote following Turner’s 585,000 votes.
Fela Kuti, Late Nigerian multi-instrumentalist and king of Afrobeat, was the only African alongside 15 international artists and bands. This was the first time he was nominated into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and although he had the second-highest votes in this year’s 2021 edition, but end up not being inducted

Then trust Nigerians all over the internet social media community, they were fast to condemn development and voice out their dissatisfaction and have called on the organizer of the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame to look into the matter, to them African Nigerians, Fela Kuti is an Africa legend, the king of Africa afrobeat who’s music as legacy to Africa still live long, long after he has gone

Speaking on the Rock and Roll induction, Chairman John Skyes has said votes we’re not the only criteria for inducing a nominee into the Hall of Fame. Some of the criteria were an artist’s musical influence on others, and many more criteria are what we used in making final and conclusive judgment and at this time our selections are ok.
Some of the artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were Todd Rundgren, Tina Turner, respectively.
