This development took place on Thursday, October 28, 2021, the dead was one of a group of gunmen that allegedly attacked troops at Amaekpu in the Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The forces withstood an attack by the assailants, who were characterized as well-armed, according to Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations who narrated this to the public at a press post
The assailants, who were highly armed and arrived in numerous cars, opened fire on the troops, but the troops retaliated with fierce resistance.”
