Those thinking of secession should think and remember the properties they have all over the countries, “SO THAT IPOB IS JUST LIKE A DOT In A Circle…”, BUHARI.
President Muhammadu Buhari during an exclusive interview granted on the _morning show_ on Arise TV today the 10th of June 2021, the president took his time to address some issues bothering the nation’s economy, security, unemployment, and appointments.
Relating to the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), the president said, “I was encouraged by what I heard, nobody told me. Two statements from the south: one by the elderly people, they said this time around there would be no (secession). And again the youth made the same statement; such encouragement.
“So that IPOB is just like a dot in a circle. Even if they want to exit, they’ll have no access to anywhere. And the way they are spread all over the country, having businesses and properties. I don’t think IPOB knows what they are talking about.
Addressing the questions on appointments the president made it clear that it was based on merit and not on the grounds of trying to balance things up.
He said, “They trained in Zaria or Abeokuta, they come through the ranks and because they served under all the circumstances, the crises and everything and they gradually rise to the status.
“And you think, you will just pick somebody just to balance up. These positions have to be earned. Some people have been there for 10 to 15 years.
“Just because someone would say there is nobody. If you do not join, you are not forced to join. When you join, you go through the rigmarole. You go through the problem.”
“In any case, we say we’ll talk to them in the language that they understand. We’ll organize the police and the military to pursue them.”
While on the Boko Haram insurgency in the North, the president said the insurgency is a result of unemployment and poverty. He insisted that his administration has done a lot to fight insurgency.
“People of the same culture killing each other, stealing each other’s cattle, as I said, we are going to treat them in a language they understand.
“We are going to give the police and the military power to be ruthless and you watch it, in a few weeks, they will be different.”
On the reason for the decline of Foreign Direct Investment, he attributed it to insecurity and youth unrest going on in the country.
He also said the youths in the country wanted to come for a protest in Aso Rock during the #EndSARS to remove him from the sit.“This question was answered last year when there was the #EndSARS protest last year. Do you remember the young people that wanted to march here and remove me?

“Tell the young people to behave themselves and make the country safe, then we can attract real investors to the country”.
