What are personal data do we collect and why do we collect it?

When people are listing their business on our Business directory section, or are creating an account with AfriNOTES, people are asked to enter just basic information as, enter a User nameemail, and password, of which user have to agree to our team of service before finishing up with registration process

This can take less than seconds, usually, WE do not collect the personal information of our readers, this information is used for basic signup to AfriNOTES so they in person can leverage the features of Afrinotes effectively

However, we sometimes ask our site visitors/readers to submit their email address through our sign up to newsletter form, in other to be able to receive email newsletters, updates, breaking news, press release, and educational newsletters from us

Comment Box

We monitor and approve comments on our website manually and when visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, then make it available so other users can benefit from commentators opinions and best engage with our site post contents

ALSO: An anonymized string created from the user’s email address (also refers to a hashtag) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if users are using it properly and correctly.

If you upload images to the website AfriNOTES, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) are also excluded.

If you use our comment box and leave a comment on AfriNOTES, the comment, and its metadata are retained indefinitely after the admin has reviewed and approved your comment.

This is done so we can review your comment manually and recognize then approve your comment as well with any follow-up comments that will be automatically approved instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For sites visitors or users that register on our platform (if any), we save and also store the personal information they provide during their registration with us, in their user profiles.

All users can see, access their use dashboard end, and well edit, or delete their personal information at any given time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit user information, as well other end-user registration levels on our platform
